Put the MANWICH away! Once you realize how easy it is to make your own sloppy joes, you will never pick up that can again! Again, I love making my own food since I know exactly what is going in our bodies, plus it does not hurt that it is BANGIN!!! This recipe is one of my all time favorites because it is easy and so delicious! Once you try it, you will never go back!
Now get your ingredients together- most things you should have in the house- it is a bunch of condiments!
Place your ground beef, chopped onions, and chopped green pepper in a skillet and cook until ground beef is cooked. Drain off any excess fat.
Add your ketchup, mustard, garlic powder, brown sugar, salt and pepper and mix well. Lower the heat and let that meat goodness simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Enjoy on a hamburger bun! You can pair it up with anything… fries, chips, zucchini pasta (pictured below), the possibilities are endless!
-1 pound ground beef
-1/2 onion, chopped
-1/2 bell pepper, chopped
-1/2 teaspoonful garlic powder
-3/4 cup ketchup
-1 teaspoonful mustard
-3 teaspoonful brown sugar
-salt and black pepper to taste
- Brown ground beef, onion, and green pepper until beef is cooked. Drain off any excess liquid.
- Add all remaining ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Enjoy on a hamburger bun!
